Blasting Water Bombs!

 

Kia ora, for today's post on the summer learning journey, Nanogirl has set up a challenge to build something that floats. You can use objects around your house or your garden. I chose to make this origami water bomb. I had made this before and it was fun making it before and it's still fun now.  I think it works well because it has lots of air inside it which makes it float well. I've learned a lot of things today, How do things float? It’s all to do with something called buoyancy. Have you done this activity? If so what did you build? Comment down in the comment section.

Abracadabra

 

Kia ora bloggers, for today's summer learning journey task I decided to do the card magic activity. We had to pick a card trick, try it and record it. I chose two card tricks (You can see them on the slideshow).

I tried them on my sister a million times before she got sick of me. On one of the magic tricks I had to watch the videos a couple of times, but eventually, I got. Mandala Madness

 

Kia ora bloggers today I've decided to do the mandala activity from the summer learning journey site. We could create these using natural materials around your house/ your garden, or you could do a digital version using png flowers, etc. 

As you can see I chose to do my mancala using pale cherry pink roses, rose petals, a range of Irises  & fluorescent green leaves. 

I found this activity very creative & fun I liked getting out into the garden & I think mine isn't too bad.

Geometry Tree

 

Hello, bloggers for today's activity on the summer learning journey, I decided on the geometry tree. For our task, we could draw the tree on paper or on google drawings, I decided on paper because it was easier. It was really fun & easy to do my favorite part about this was the coloring in because I could be creative about the colors. Have you done this activity before? comment in the comment section.

Superhero Strange

 

Kia ora bloggers, these holidays I will be trying to work through the summer learning journey program,  You can do some really fun tasks for some prizes. It is going to be my daily goal for these holidays to complete one task every day. Today I decided to do this one, Make a vector art of your hero. I chose doctor strange because he never gives up so was the first person that came to my mind & I'm a marvel fan. Magic For Your Socks

   

Kia ora Bloggers this term we have been working on our own innovative design. Me, Gemma & Mila have decided to make a sock holder that is washing machine safe so they don't get lost.  We have made this business card for advertising.
