Blasting Water Bombs!

 

Kia ora, for today's post on the summer learning journey, Nanogirl has set up a challenge to build something that floats. You can use objects around your house or your garden. I chose to make this origami water bomb. I had made this before and it was fun making it before and it's still fun now.  I think it works well because it has lots of air inside it which makes it float well. I've learned a lot of things today, How do things float? It’s all to do with something called buoyancy. Have you done this activity? If so what did you build? Comment down in the comment section.

Kia ora bloggers, for today's summer learning journey task I decided to do the card magic activity. We had to pick a card trick, try it and record it. I chose two card tricks (You can see them on the slideshow).

I tried them on my sister a million times before she got sick of me. On one of the magic tricks I had to watch the videos a couple of times, but eventually, I got. Mandala Madness

 

Kia ora bloggers today I've decided to do the mandala activity from the summer learning journey site. We could create these using natural materials around your house/ your garden, or you could do a digital version using png flowers, etc. 

As you can see I chose to do my mancala using pale cherry pink roses, rose petals, a range of Irises  & fluorescent green leaves. 

I found this activity very creative & fun I liked getting out into the garden & I think mine isn't too bad.

Geometry Tree

 

Hello, bloggers for today's activity on the summer learning journey, I decided on the geometry tree. For our task, we could draw the tree on paper or on google drawings, I decided on paper because it was easier. Superhero Strange

 

Kia ora bloggers, these holidays I will be trying to work through the summer learning journey program,  You can do some really fun tasks for some prizes. It is going to be my daily goal for these holidays to complete one task every day. Today I decided to do this one, Make a vector art of your hero. I chose doctor strange because he never gives up so was the first person that came to my mind & I'm a marvel fan. Magic For Your Socks

   

Kia ora Bloggers this term we have been working on our own innovative design. Me, Gemma & Mila have decided to make a sock holder that is washing machine safe so they don't get lost.  We have made this business card for advertising. Ki ora bloggers this term we have been doing speeches I picked mine on climate change. We had to do it for homework, We had 3 different options to present our speeches Video, Present to the class, present to a small group of friends. I picked class. Kia Ora bloggers this term for inquiry we have been working on a slide called Kiwi Innovators. We read about things that NZ inventors have made and then create our own design of it. This week we looked at Easiyo a yogurt company and then made our own yogurt brand. It was really fun designing my yogurt brand It wasn't my best work but it was okay. Making Marshland Marvellous

How to take care of the marshland school environment

    INTRODUCTION

How would you like to go to school in an environment where there’s rubbish everywhere, Bullies taking over & Belongings broken how would you like to learn in that. It’s important to make sure our school is in a good environment so we can learn better. In my speech, I will be telling you how to keep our school tidy.

RUBBISH

A lot of people would agree with me it’s a lot better to study & play in a clean environment. With rubbish everywhere around us imagine always looking at the floor so you don't step on a bag of Doritos with a rat in it. You should be able to breathe in fresh air not worrying that you might breathe a gust of pollution from no trees around us. 

EMOTIONAL

As it is important is physical maintenance of the environment in our school so is emotional. You don’t want to be going to school wandering if your bully is around the corner, You don’t want to go to school thinking your classmates making fun of you. So it’s important to be kind & supportive so you everyone wants to go to school.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, I believe we should have a sustainable school so no rubbish & less bullying.

Terrifying Time

 

Kia ora bloggers this week we have been learning about Time. We had to complete a slide about time with lots of word problems. Eventually, the slide got easier and I completed it with ease. Dream Room!😊

Ki ora bloggers in maths we have been learning area, perimeter & volume. After we had finished all our questions we could go on planner 5d. We could do awesome things like build houses, bedrooms & lots of other things, I chose the bedroom. I started from scratch and built this bedroom, it is not really my dream bedroom but I like it! Kiora bloggers We learnt how to make a fabulous, amazing comment. We learnt what makes a good comment and what makes a bad comment after we learnt how to recognize a good and a bad comment the teachers gave us a task to complete to test our comment skills. We have been working on how to say what is the weather today/He aha te huarere? and replying with the weather is.../he rangi...After we learned how to pronounce all the words correctly we made an animation and shared it with our parents in the whanau hui/ celebration assembly. I really liked this because I love learning Maori.  It was a little hard finding all the png pictures but I managed. I hope you enjoy this animation. 101 Professional Email

Hello, bloggers today we learnt how to type a proper email. We had to write an email about whether you think pets should be allowed on public transports or not. I chose I think We should allow pets on public transports & after we chose we had to write an email about it to our teachers. I found this activity really fun.
